For this exercise, we’re using an example of a landscaping company called Hedgewise that wants to create a campaign for a complimentary garden consultation with new account sign-ups.

Now, we’re ready to put the finishing touches on it by adding in some paid ads. Normally, we’d take a look at our other campaign assets, determine an angle to take, and create the ad copy from scratch.
But for today’s exercise, let’s put Campaign Assistant to work again to save ourselves some time.
How to Create Google Search Ads with Campaign Assistant
Here are the steps to use HubSpot’s Campaign Assistant to create ad copy to support your campaign.
- Step 1: Navigate to the Campaign Assistant tool in HubSpot (or, if this is your first time using the tool, get started here)
- Step 2: Click on “Create new asset” at the top right of your screen and select “Google Search Ad” from the dropdown. (Note: we’ve already used Campaign Assistant to create our landing page and supporting email, so HubSpot automatically lists the campaign information we entered last time)
- Step 3: Make any necessary changes to your campaign information. In our example, I want people to know this is a temporary offer, so I am going to add “offer ends on September 22nd.” We’ll also change our Call-to-Action to “Learn more” since we want our email to drive people to our landing page
- Step 4: Click “Generate content”
